Insights and Perspectives from Utah HIMSS

One of the nice things about splitting time between Las Vegas and Salt Lake City is that I get to attend a lot of different conferences.  One of the conferences I love to attend in Salt Lake City is the Utah HIMSS Spring conference.  The HIMSS Utah Chapter brings together some great speakers and a nice community of health IT professionals.  The kicked off this year’s event with an Olympian that shed light on how he was break through and earn a gold medal not by copying other teams, but by coming up with their own strategy that matched their needs.  It was inspiring to hear that along with the way they obsessed over the little things to be successful.  Plus, he said that the team allowed each individual teammate to be themselves.  All incredible messages for healthcare leaders.

While at the event, I got a chance to talk with a number of people for some short video interviews.  I asked them some of the insights they were hearing at the conference and then also what healthcare topic were not enough people talking about and should be.  Check out the short videos below to hear their answers.

Michael Rogozinski, Chief Nursing Officer at Vital

Mark Amey, COO at Ellit Groups

Mikaela Gilbert, Senior Account Executive at Medasource

Kim Beetlestone, Client Manager Healthcare at Lenovo

Shereese Maynard, Founder at Codeswitchmd.com

Thanks to the Utah HIMSS team for getting me a pass to attend the conference.  You have a wonderful community with some amazing people.
