Ye Teases YZY Women’s Line Modeled by Wife Bianca Censori: ‘My Vision Is Coming to Life’
The rapper previously debuted his first womenswear collection in 2011.
Ye — formerly known as Kanye West — is returning to womenswear. The rapper teased early samples of his YZY women’s clothing line with an explosive post to his Instagram Story on Tuesday (Jan. 21).
Yeezy teased the first black bodysuit, which is quite revealing. West’s wife Bianca Censori was actually spotted rocking the YZY bodysuit as part of her outfit recently. “Yzy women’s coming next • SCALING INNOVATION,” he wrote.
As has been the case in the past, the Chicago native continued to take shots at his former partner Adidas, including once again accusing the brand of copying his designs. (Adidas ended its partnership with the rapper in October 2022 after he repeatedly made antisemitic remarks.)
“People tried to tell me to go back to adidas; Of course it was people close enough to ask for money from me,” he added. “They didn’t care about my freedom or vision; Now my vision is coming to life and I have a John Wick vendetta against every fashion company; as my fellow Gemini Tupac said Die m——-er Die Now; play off the grid.”
Billboard has reached out to Adidas for comment.
It’s far from Ye’s first foray into women’s clothing, as he launched his first womenswear collection back in 2011 as the Louise Goldin-designed line debuted at Paris Fashion Week.
West has been hard at work on new footwear designs. He released the SL-01 slipper model, which is available for purchase on the YZY website with even sizes 2-16 in stock. Ye’s also teased the BL-01 sneaker, but that isn’t on sale just yet.
He’s still busy on the music side as well. Ye has continued to hint at the imminent arrival of his Bully solo album, which appears to feature a reunion with producer/engineer Mike Dean.
