Report: Dodgers agree to four-year, $72-million contract with Tanner Scott
The Dodgers continue to add talent with reckless abandon as they have reportedly signed star relief pitcher Tanner Scott to a four-year $72-million deal.
The Los Angeles Dodgers continue to add talent with reckless abandon.
According to MLB Network insider Mark Feinsand, star relief pitcher Tanner Scott and the Dodgers agreed to a four-year $72-million deal on Sunday.
Scott, 30, bolsters the Dodgers’ bullpen with an elite arm from the left side. He pitched to a 1.75 ERA with 84 strikeouts and 22 saves over 72 innings split between the Miami Marlins and San Diego Padres last season.
The six-foot southpaw made his first MLB All-Star game in 2024. Prior to joining the Padres at the trade deadline last year, Scott had almost exclusively played on non-competitive teams, splitting his first seven seasons between the Marlins and Baltimore Orioles.
He will now occupy a leverage relief role on the World Series favourite.
