#HITsm Bluesky Chat – HIMSS 2025 Conference Preview

The #HITsm chat is back for the 2nd time on Bluesky!  In case you missed the first #HITsm chat on Bluesky, it was like a flashback to the early days of #HITsm chats with some familiar names and new friends.  So, we’re back for a 2nd #HITsm chat with the healthcare IT social media community on Bluesky.  In case you’re not on Bluesky (Find us @healthcareittoday.com), a number of health IT professionals are now on the site.  It’s free to register and has a lot of the feel of what Twitter was like when it first started.  If you tag us on Bluesky, then we’ll start creating a list of health IT professionals as well to get everyone connected.

For those not familiar with the #HITsm chats that we did for so many years, we set aside one hour to discuss an overarching topic using the hashtag #HITsm.  There are 5 questions and a bonus question that is shared every 10 minutes.  Just watch the @healthcareittoday.com account for the questions and reply/quote with your answer.  Plus, watch the #HITsm hashtag on Bluesky to see what other people are sharing so you can reply to what they’re saying and interact with them as well.  Don’t forget to add the #HITsm hashtag on everything you share.  It’s a great way to connect with new people and learn from other health IT professionals, patients, vendors, etc.

The next #HITsm chat on Bluesky will be held on Friday, 2/21 at Noon ET (9 AM PT).  This chat will be hosted by John Lynn (@techguy.healthcareittoday.com) and we’ll be doing a “HIMSS 2025 Conference Preview.”  You’re welcome to attend and connect with the health IT community even if you won’t be at the conference.
