The pace of change in healthcare technology right now is absolutely extraordinary. Keeping up with all of the various technology that is being developed to improve healthcare is a staggering task. We know this first hand as we cover the space every day here on Healthcare IT Today and see that hospital and health system CIOs have to take a measured apporach to how they adopt innovative technologies. They need well researched frameworks and data to help better guide them in their technology decisions.
This was part of what was going through my head when I began discussions with Steve Lieber (Former CEO of HIMSS) and his new initiative, the Alliance for Smart Healthcare Excellence. Lieber’s vision at the Alliance to create a Smart Hospital Maturity Model and other smaller maturity models that will enable healthcare organizations to understand and adopt smart technology in their organization was extremely intriguing to us at Healthcare IT Today. Plus, the Alliance turned to Healthcare IT Today as one of the premiere healthcare IT publications that could collaborate with them to share the models, research, and smart care solutions that could improve healthcare today.
That’s why we’re happy today to announce a new smart care solutions platform focused on the latest smart care technologies called Smart Healthcare Tech. This new platform will be developed by Healthcare IT Today and the Alliance for Smart Healthcare Excellence to share the latest data driven insights, perspectives, research findings, and best practices that will help healthcare provider organizations make more informed decisions about all the smart care technology out there. Plus, we’ll feature maturity models that can help healthcare leaders cut through the noise.
Smart Healthcare Tech will focus on sharing Healthcare IT Today’s incredible video, audio, and written stories and leveraging the Alliance for Smart Healthcare Excellence’s innovative models, research and data.
