British actress Jessica Henwick and American-Australian actor Ashley Zuckerman have scored major roles in the upcoming third season of the acclaimed Apple TV+ series “Silo”.
The casting was revealed in the show’s second season finale with a flashback sequence showing Zuckerman as a U.S. congressman named Daniel and Henwick as a woman named Helen.
Speaking with The Wrap, showrunner Graham Yost says: “we are going to get into some origin story stuff in Season 3” and the two characters tie into that.
This was not unexpected. The first two seasons of the show adapt the first novel in Hugh Howey’s novel trilogy, the second novel deals with the origins of the silos and some of the new characters come back back into play in the present for the third novel.
Henwick is best known for her roles as Colleen Wing in Marvel’s “Iron Fist” and Nymeria Sand in HBO’s “Game of Thrones” along with films like “The Matrix Resurrections,” “Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery,” “Love and Monsters,” “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” “The Gray Man” and “Cuckoo”.
Zuckerman is known for playing Robert Langdon in Dan Brown’s “The Lost Symbol” series, a recurring role as Nate Sofrelli in “Succession,” and as Nick Goode in the “Fear Street” film trilogy along with work on “Designated Survivor,” “Childhood’s End,” “A Teacher” and “City on Fire”.
The final episode of the second season of “Silo” is now on Apple TV+ today and the series has been greenlit for a third and fourth season which are being shot back-to-back this year.
