Extreme metal band Coffin Feeder pay tribute to John Carpenter‘s Big Trouble in Little China with “Porkchop Express.”
Produced by Dave Otero (Cattle Decapitation, Aborted), the track features guest vocals from Benighted‘s Julien Truchan. Nick Suchack directed the music video, which you can watch below.
Featuring members of Aborted, Leng Tch’e, and Fleddy Melculy, Coffin Feeder blends death metal, grind, deathcore, and hardcore into energetic odes to action movies of the ’80s and ’90s.
“Porkchop Express” is the first single from the group’s full-length debut, aptly titled Big Trouble, releasing on April 25 from Listenable Records.
In addition to Carpenter’s 1986 cult classic, the album’s tracklisting along with the cover art by Scotty Bates tease homages to Predator, They Live, Die Hard, Commando, Gremlins, and more.
