Anoma’s A1 Slate Watch Features A Lacquered Black Dial
Last June, independent watch brand Anoma made its debut with the A1 — an intriguing wristwatch characterized by a rounded triangular case. Following the successful launch and delivery of the first series, Anoma now reveals the next chapter to that model: the A1 Slate, featuring a black lacquered dial.“Our goal was to create a design that is pure and understated, with a timeless elegance,“ states Matteo Violet Vianello, Anoma’s founder and GPHG academy member, explaining that “In a world of endless color variations, we found power in returning to black – a color that embodies both bold presence and ultimate discretion.”The dial arrives in a vertically-brushed finish with black-laquered triangular patterns, which creates an intriguing effect allowing the watch face to shift from a smooth glossy black to a nuanced two-tone look.It boasts a 39mm stainless steel case that wears surprisingly slim on the wrist - thanks to its curved, lug-less design - the timekeeper features the same sculptural form as the first Anoma A1 model, inspired by a Charlotte Perriand coffee table from the 1950s.Starting March 10, 2 p.m. GMT/ 10 a.m. ET, the Anoma A1 Slate will be available to order via the brand’s website.Click here to view full gallery at Hypebeast
