AdvancedMD Appoints New CEO and CFO Following Francisco Partners Acquisition

– AdvancedMD, a provider of cloud-based healthcare software for independent medical practices, has announced significant leadership changes following its acquisition by Francisco Partners, which closed in December 2024. 

– Amanda Sharp has been promoted to Chief Executive Officer, and Bryan Hunt has joined the company as Chief Financial Officer.

Amanda Sharp Bio/Background

Amanda Sharp, who has been instrumental in AdvancedMD’s growth and strategy, steps into the CEO role after serving as the company’s President since 2019. Her journey with AdvancedMD spans over 18 years, beginning as an intern and progressing through various leadership positions, including Vice President of Strategy and Business Development. Sharp’s extensive experience and deep understanding of the company have earned her recognition, including being named one of “Women in Health IT to Know” in 2024 by Becker’s Hospital Review.

Joining the leadership team as Chief Financial Officer is Bryan Hunt, bringing a wealth of financial expertise from his previous role at Health Catalyst, a data and analytics healthcare technology provider. During his decade-long tenure at Health Catalyst, Hunt served as Chief Financial Officer and held other key leadership positions within the finance organization. Prior to Health Catalyst, he gained valuable experience as an investment banker with Deloitte Corporate Finance and Moelis & Company. At AdvancedMD, Hunt will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company’s financial functions.
