“Warfare,” “Toxic Avenger,” “Honey Don’t” Set Dates

A trio of films have set release dates for this year.

First up, A24 has officially announced an April 11th release date for “Warfare” which hails from “Civil War” and “Ex Machina” director Alex Garland and Ray Mendoza.

Will Poulter, D’Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai, Cosmo Jarvis, Joseph Quinn, Charles Melton, Kit Connor, Finn Bennett, Taylor John Smith, and Michael Gandolfini star in the film about Mendoza’s experiences as a former U.S. Navy Seal during the Iraq War.

Next, Focus Features is reportedly targeting a May 2025 release date for Ethan Coen’s detective comedy Honey Don’t, which stars Margaret Qualley, Aubrey Plaza, Chris Evans, Charlie Day, Billy Eichner, Lera Abova, Lena Hall, and Christian Antidormi. Qualley and Coen worked together on last year’s Drive Away Dolls.

Finally, Cineverse has acquired the darkly comedic reimagining of Troma Entertainment’s 1984 cult classic, “The Toxic Avenger,” and confirmed it will hit cinemas in 2025. Peter Dinklage plays a downtrodden janitor who, after a freak accident, transforms into a mutant vigilante.

Directed by Macon Blair, Kevin Bacon, Elijah Wood, Jacob Tremblay, Julia Davis and Taylour Paige also star in the film which will be unrated and aiming for a wide release later this year.
