THE FANTASTIC FOUR: FIRST STEPS Trailer Seems to Show Reed Richards Investigating the Marvel Multiverse
Marvel Studios recently launched the first teaser trailer for The Fantastic Four: First Steps, and it was so cool and gave fans plenty of fun little details for fans to look out for.There’s one key detail that that caught my attention and the attention of fans, and it’s something that could have massive implications for the Multiverse Saga and possibly leading to next year’s Avengers: Doomsday.The trailer doesn’t showcase Reed Richards’s stretching abilities, but it does highlight his greatest asset… his mind. There’s a shot where we see him working on a blackboard, and it reveals complex calculations, but one diagram stands out: a possible blueprint for bridging realities.The drawing features and entrance and an exit, with the latter labelled "Another Universe." This detail fuels a major fan theory making the rounds on the internet that The Fantastic Four might have originated from Earth-616 before getting trapped in an alternate universe. If true, it could explain why Marvel’s First Family has been absent from the MCU until now and why they might need to find a way back to the Sacred Timeline.Another possibility is that Reed is investigating Incursions, which are the catastrophic collisions between universes.
