The 18-year-old’s current deal, which he penned after turning 17 in February 2023, does not expire for another two years. Dibling has made 24 appearances across all competitions for Saints this term. Across those matches, the teenager has scored four goals and provided two assists. The youngster also made his debut for England’s under-21 side in November, having previously featured from U16 to U19 level. However, he is currently sidelined with an ankle injury which has ruled him out of Sunday’s defeat at Nottingham Forest. Ivan Juric is expected to have Dibling back for this Saturday’s visit of Newcastle to St. Mary’s. Southampton have already seen three players leave the club during the January transfer window. Both Ben Brereton-Diaz and Ronnie Edwards have moved to the Championship on loan. The pair have joined Sheffield United and QPR, respectively, until the end of the season. As for arrivals, Welington and Joachim Kayi Sanda have both joined the club but are yet to make their debuts.
