New York Rangers goaltender Igor Shesterkin will be on the mend through the 4 Nations Face-Off break.

Shesterkin is expected to be out for one-to-two weeks due to an upper-body injury.

The 2022 Vezina Trophy winner remained on the ice following a scramble in front of his net during the first period of New York’s 3-2 loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins.

A trainer attended to him, however, Shesterkin stayed in the game and finished with 23 saves.

He holds an 18-19-2 record, 2.87 goals-against average and .906 save percentage with three shutouts in 39 games this season.
