Taylor Swift and Matty Healy

Matty Healy has responded to rumours that he is including a song about his relationship with Taylor Swift on The 1975’s next album.

Both artists are widely speculated to have dated briefly in the summer of 2023, following Swift’s split from boyfriend of six years Joe Alwyn and before the start of her current relationship with NFL star Travis Kelce.

Many fans also believe that there are numerous nods to the reported relationship with Healy on the pop star’s latest release, 2024’s ‘The Tortured Poets Department’, although this hasn’t been confirmed by the singer.

Now, Matty Healy has responded to speculation that he is set to return the favour on his upcoming sixth album with The 1975.

Over the weekend, The Sun reported that the forthcoming LP is going to include a track called ‘God Has Entered My Body’, which contains the line: “Keep your head up Princess, your tiara is falling”.

Unsurprisingly, the report was quick to get both Swifties and The 1975 fans alike talking, with many debating whether or not the rumours could be true. The claims by The Sun have also caught the attention of the frontman himself, who took to social media to share his own response.
