Apple iOS 18.3 ist fertig: Wann kommt das Update?

Apple veröffentlichte diese Woche den Release Candidate von iOS 18.3 und falls dort keine Fehler mehr gefunden werden, dann wird das die Version sein, die alle als Update sehen. Es sieht aber so aus, als ob iOS 18.3 bisher sehr stabil läuft.

Wann kommt iOS 18.3? Apple dürfte die neue Version nächste Woche verteilen, es ist wie immer am Montag oder Dienstag damit zu rechnen. Oft gibt es dann am Mittwoch oder Donnerstag schon die nächste Beta (iOS 18.4), aber nicht immer.

Für uns ist iOS 18.3 aber sowieso nicht so spannend, denn Apple geht vor allem viele Dinge bei der Apple Intelligence an und die kommt erst im April zu uns nach Deutschland. Ich bin jetzt vor allem auf die erste Beta von iOS 18.4 gespannt.

Das Update ist also eher ein Lückenfüller für uns, neben ein paar Optimierungen ist sonst nicht viel dabei. Wobei der finale Changelog für Deutschland noch nicht da ist, diesen bekommen wir in der Regel erst zum Release. Das sind die US-Details.

• Easily identify plants and animals

Notification summaries (All iPhone 16 models, iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max)

• Easily manage settings for notification summaries from the Lock Screen
• Updated style for summarized notifications better distinguishes them from other notifications by using italicized text as well as the glyph
• Notification summaries for News & Entertainment apps are temporarily unavailable, and users who opt-in will see them again when the feature becomes available

This update includes the following enhancements and bug fixes:

• Calculator repeats the last mathematical operation when you tap the equals sign again
• Fixes an issue where the keyboard might disappear when initiating a typed Siri request
• Resolves an issue where audio playback continues until the song ends even after closing Apple Music
