Dark Souls 3 is getting a new lease on life with beloved Elden Ring co-op mod
FromSoftware’s take on multiplayer is easily my favorite part of the studio’s games. The summoning system means you’re completely alone and surrounded by other players simultaneously, with their bloodstains and cheeky messages acting like passing ships in the night. You can then call on a random player to help you finally beat that brick wall of a boss, only for them to slowly fade away when the task is done as they emote to you one last time. If you want to trudge through one of FromSoftware’s games with a friend, however, the developer’s online system can make that tough. That’s why I’m thrilled to say that the creator behind Elden Ring’s most popular mod has finally set their sights on doing the same for Dark Souls 3.
