The teenager has since been bailed whilst inquiries continue, the force confirmed. In one screenshot Sophia shared, an Instagram user had said: “I hope you have a miscarriage.” Another post revealed a different threat vowing to ‘slaughter’ their child. Following the incident, Arsenal hired data technology firm Signify to determine the identity of the abusers. An investigation into the messages was subsequently launched by Hertfordshire Police. Mikel Arteta also called for action to be taken against those who post abuse online earlier this month.
