Mr. K, whose full name is Sanghyuk Ko, operates out of a tattoo studio called Bang Bang in New York City. The Korean has previously inked actors Matt Damon, Angelina Jolie and Michael J. Fox. Hamilton has become the latest glamour figure to be tattooed by Mr. K and it’s a touching tribute to his mother, Carmen Larbalestier. The 40-year-old got a tattoo of ’11:11′ on his neck, which is Carmen’s birthdate. It’s not the first major tribute Hamilton has made for his mother. In 2022, Hamilton declared his intention to change his name to honour his mum’s surname. “I’m really proud of my family’s name: Hamilton,” Hamilton said. “Actually, none of you might know that my mum’s name is Larbalestier. And I’m just about to put that in my name.” However, he remains listed as ‘Lewis Hamilton’ on the FIA’s official entry list. @mrk_tattoo on InstagramHamilton spent time with tattoo artist Mr. K to get some fresh ink[/caption] @mrk_tattoo on InstagramThe seven-time world champ got a design on his neck to honour his mother[/caption] Hamilton’s tattoo tribute follows his grand unveiling as a Ferrari driver. The Brit dazzled the Tifosi with his impressive Italian language skills as he posed alongside the $2.5million (£2m) Ferrari F40, which is also currently owned by McLaren’s Lando Norris. Ferrari said Hamilton was given a tour of the factory with team boss Frederic Vasseur and chief executive officer Benedetto Vigna. Although his first day may have been full of glamour by posing in front of Enzo Ferrari’s old house, it’s now down to business for Hamilton. In a major boost for the 40-year-old ahead of his debut season for Ferrari, he is set to reunite with his trusted aid Angela Cullen. A reunion with trusted companion Cullen could ignite Hamilton’s bid for an eighth world titleGetty But shockwaves were sent through the F1 world when Cullen and Hamilton parted ways in 2023. Such is Cullen’s impact, Hamilton previously described her as ‘one of the greatest things that’s happened to me in my life.’ “I’ve been fortunate to work with a lot of people… and she’s the single hardest-working woman that I get to be around,” Hamilton said. He added: “She’s focused, selfless, and she makes my weekends peaceful. Every day I wake up, whatever time it is, she’s just positive – never a single day has she been negative, so that’s very, very important.” Cullen and Hamilton’s partnership comes weeks before Ferrari reveals its car for the 2025 season on February 19 in Fiorano before pre-season testing commences in Bahrain on February 26.
