Wild’s Eriksson Ek out for last game before 4 Nations Face-Off vs. Islanders

Joel Eriksson Ek won’t play in the Minnesota Wild‘s last game before the 4 Nations Face-Off.

A lower body injury has sidelined Eriksson Ek ahead of the Wild’s contest against the New York Islanders according to The Athletic‘s Michael Russo.

Eriksson Ek is supposed to play for Team Sweden in the tournament although his status for the international competition remains unclear.

With nine goals and 23 points this season, the 28-year-old centre has been critical for the Wild and would be equally important for Team Sweden in the tournament.
