The Champions League returns to our screens on Tuesday night, with just two rounds of fixtures still to play in the group stage.

The 36 teams in the Champions League have all played six of the eight games they are scheduled for in the revamped format this season.

Liverpool have been the standout team so far, sitting top of the table as the only side to have won all six of their contests, three points clear of Barcelona at the summit.

Arsenal and Aston Villa are also looking good so far, currently third and fifth respectively in the table.

Manchester City are the one Premier League side struggling as they are right down in 22nd, with just eight points from their six games.

Pep Guardiola’s side have a glamorous trip to Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday, with Arsenal hosting Dinamo Zagreb on the same evening.

Before that, Liverpool and Aston Villa are both in action on Tuesday, although not necessarily on the TV channel you might expect.
