What are workplace etiquettes that I must follow while interacting with people that are quite senior than me? [closed]
I am from South Asia My Background( Important for the question):I did my masters from a very reputed university in my nation with quite good grades( 3rd world nation and very poor) in STEM field. My family atmosphere is not good( both my mother and father fight a lot and as a result are also always angry, sarcastic at me and my sister). I am an introvert and shy person but sometimes I get angry.(I have read 1 anger management book) Unfortunately, the community I belong to is also discriminated heavily and so I spent my college life alone without any meaningful friendships( I had to move to a big city as I am from a small town with very limited opportunities) though I was not much discriminated in my own hometown and had a few friends whom I am still in touch with ( they are also from same community as me). People of my community very rarely study in the top university I went to and so I couldn't find even a few people from my community. Many people of my community are forced to drop out and many commit sui***de due to harassment by professors and classmates!! After completing my masters, I did a teaching job(well paid) at a school for 1 year 5 months but I due to few incidents of severe racism and bullying at workplace( It was heartbreaking), I quit my previous job and hoped for finding a new job. My parents became very abusive when I told them that I quit my job and since I live with them I had to bear it. I fell into severe depression and was out of work for 3 months due to my confidence being shattered and the abuse of parents. After that I decieded to apply for PhD positions( tried for 6 more months) in my field but was unsucessfull. Then I quit the idea of applying for PhD and applied for a teaching job in my own country but far away from where I live because racism is quite low in that region and my community exists in good numbers. FOrtunately, I have gotten this job and it's well paid as well. Question: Can you please let me know of some workplace etiquettes I must keep in mind to do my job smoothly? My confidence has shrinked a lot due to depression and there was no one to guide me about these things due to living in an abusive family. What things I should keep in mind while interacting with seniors people at work? Please help me!
