Watch Bill Murray & His Blood Brothers play SF Sketchfest with Dave Hill

Music has always been a big part of Bill Murray‘s whole thing, from his SNL lounge singer character to the karaoke scenes in Lost in Translation, and his A Very Murray Christmas special, to name three. Bill’s now teamed up with a band, His Blood Brothers (Mike Zito and Albert Castiglia, not that Blood Brothers), who just played two nights at San Francisco’s Great American Music Hall as part of SF Sketchfest, with Dave Hill opening both shows.

Bill Murray & His Blood Brothers played a set of covers, including songs by The Beatles, The Kinks, Bob Dylan, Wilson Pickett and more. While he took lead on some songs, on others Murray was happy just on cowbell or congas duty. Watch him perform “Wait Until the Midnight Hour” and “Like a Rolling Stone” below.

With SF Sketchfest behind them, Bill Murray & His Blood Brothers are continuing to tour and will play Port Chester, NY on February 14 at Capitol Theatre, and NYC on February 15 at Sony Hall.

As for Dave Hill, he and his band will be opening for Jason Narducy, Michael Shannon & Friends on their upcoming tour where they’ll play R.E.M.’s Fables of the Reconstruction in full. That tour hits NYC’s  Brooklyn Steel on March 8.
