Unleash Your Data Archives to Empower Your AI Efforts

MediQuant, according CEO Jim Jacobs, is an “active archive” service, in business since 1999. With the growing importance of AI, MediQuant is supporting customers now on the best and safest ways to use their legacy and archived data for those applications.

Jacobs points out AI’s huge hunger for data and says that customers “miss a lot of the picture” if they can’t draw on historical data.  In fact, many AI applications need to have the full historical data to work effectively. In this interview, Jacobs provides advice for health care sites, along with some warnings. Customers should start with a use case that has a definable, measurable ROI that they can achieve quickly. Risk mitigation (security, avoiding charges of information blocking) is another valid goal. The customer also has to check with users to make sure they’ll actually use the data.
