‘Tired of this’: Lamar Jackson rants about turnovers after Ravens’ loss to Bills

Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens are headed home early from the playoffs yet again.

And the two-time NFL MVP, in an expletive-laden rant, said his two turnovers were partially to blame.

“Can’t have that sh–. Because as you can see, we’re moving the ball wonderfully. Hold on to the fu—– ball. Sorry for the language, but this sh– is annoying. Tired of this sh–,” he told reporters following the Ravens’ 27-25 loss to the Buffalo Bills in the divisional round on Sunday.

Jackson threw an interception and lost a fumble in the first half as Baltimore fell down 21-10 after two quarters.

A second-half comeback attempt was thwarted when tight end Mark Andrews lost a fumble, then dropped a potentially game-tying two-point conversion.

Baltimore is now 3-5 in the playoffs during Jackson’s seven-year career, with three divisional-round losses and just one trip to the AFC Championship — a 17-10 loss last season to the eventual champion Kansas City Chiefs.

Jackson has often been criticized for his play in those post-season losses. On Sunday, he completed 18 of 25 passes for 240 yards, two touchdowns and one interception while also gaining 39 rushing yards on six carries.

He said the interception was a result of him misreading the Bills’ defensive coverage.

“Me not holding the safety, me just knowing the coverages, knowing that it’s man, throw a BS interception,” he said.

The fumble occurred on a strip-sack play.

“It was like a (run-pass option) kind of play so I couldn’t really throw the ball to (tight end Isaiah) Likely because there was an offensive lineman down the field. So I tried to make something happen, slipped out of my hand, Von Miller picked it up, got some yards out of that, I think that led to points for them,” Jackson said.

The Bills will battle their own demons next Sunday when they take on the Chiefs in the AFC Championship game in Kansas City.
