Capcom announced that it has sold over 1 million copies of Street Fighter 6 in Japan alone as of December 20, 2024. The company also launched numerous campaigns to celebrate the sales milestone. The celebrations range from merchandise sweepstakes to an interview with a former sumo wrestler. The merchandise sweepstakes run until February 21, 2025, and it involves the social media X which is still widely used in Japan.
