Brisbane native Young Franco is solidifying his place as one of Australia’s most exciting DJ/producers. With a seemingly endless roster of collaborations, he’s cross-pollinating music scenes and genres, and it’s resonating with fans. Pulling from disco, italo-disco, dance music, rap, and punk, Young Franco’s new album it’s Franky baby! brings together Nigerian singer, songwriter, and pop sensation Kah-Lo; American rapper Denzel Curry; and British electronic music DJ/producer p-rallel. Joining them are New Orleans rapper Pell, American singer-songwriter Dana Williams, and hip hop duo EARTHGANG. UK legend Master Peace, funk duo Franc Moody, and award-winning musician MC DT bring their unique contributions, while DJ/producer Jafunk, UK urban music legend General Levy, and Kenyan-New Zealand artist Muroki add to the mix. The inimitable piri & tommy feature, along with Tommy Villier round out the contributions.
“I’m incredibly grateful for the collaborations on this album. Working with such talented friends has been a joy and a true celebration of friendship. I’m excited to bring many of them on tour and to perform alongside both new and old friends”, says Young Franco.
