Six Cool New Posters for Marvel's CAPTAIN AMERICA: BRAVE NEW WORLD
Marvel has released six new movie posters for Captain America: Brave New World for various theatrical viewing formats. They showcase Anthony Mackie’s Captain America, Harrison Ford’s rampaging Red Hulk, and the return of the Celestial Tiamut from Eternals. This movie is going to have a big box office weekend, and it’s expected to debut domestically between $81 million and $107 million during its opening weekend.Initial reactions to the film at early test screening haven’t been great, but the movie looks like it’ll at least offer some fun Marvel entertainment. I mean, it can’t be worse than Ant-Man and The Wasp Quantumania or The Eternals? Right!?The challenge in this movie lies in convincing audiences and fans that Sam Wilson can effectively carry the mantle of Captain America and the legacy of Steve Rogers.Mackie explained in a recent interview: “It made more sense for it to be more of a grounded espionage action movie as opposed to aliens and airplanes coming through portals and shit. The opportunity for Sam to really establish himself as a true action star and Avenger comes with this movie.”Mackie also teased that Brave New World serves as a pivotal reset for the MCU, sharing: “This movie is a clear reset. It really re-establishes the idea of what this universe is and what this universe is going to be... the same way they did with Captain America: The Winter Soldier.”In the film, Sam Wilson faces his toughest challenge yet. After meeting with U.S. President Thaddeus Ross, portrayed by Harrison Ford in his MCU debut, Sam becomes entangled in an international crisis. Tasked with uncovering the mastermind behind a global conspiracy, Sam must act before the entire world descends into chaos. The film’s ensemble cast also includes Danny Ramirez, Shira Haas, Carl Lumbly, Giancarlo Esposito, Liv Tyler, and Tim Blake Nelson. The movie was directed by Julius Onah and produced by Kevin Feige, the movie will hit theaters on February 14, 2025.
