Even though Samsung has been shipping out the Galaxy S25 quite early – some got it as early as January 30 – today is the official release day. This means all of those pre-order bonuses are now over. However, many of the deals are still active, here in the US.
For example, with the Galaxy S25 Ultra, you can get up to $900 off via trade-in, $300 in instant Samsung Credit, and a free storage upgrade. That’s a pretty incredible deal for this $1,299 smartphone. If you’ve been holding out, and thought you missed those sweet pre-order deals, well you can still jump on them.
Moving over to the non-Ultra Galaxy S25 models, both the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25 Plus are eligible for up to $700 in instant trade-in credit. The Galaxy S25 is eligible for $50 in Samsung Credit and the Galaxy S25 Plus is eligible for $100 in Samsung Credit. That’s pretty awesome since you can use that credit to get yourself a Galaxy S25 Case or two.
The Galaxy S25 Series is a bigger upgrade than it seems
We’ve published our reviews of the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25 Plus, as well as our Galaxy S25 Ultra review, so you can see for yourself how much of an upgrade this is. Despite looking relatively the same on the outside, the Galaxy S25 series is a pretty nice upgrade – particularly the Ultra model.
Samsung has added Gorilla Armor 2, making it even stronger against scratches and dents. It also has the new Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy, which is more than just an overclocked processor for Samsung. They worked closely with Qualcomm to make this processor more efficient and work better with the Galaxy S25. And that really shows. We’ve gotten better efficiency, benchmarks, and battery life results out of the Galaxy S25 series, versus other Snapdragon 8 Elite devices.
Additionally, Samsung also upgraded the ultrawide camera. Sure, that’s not the most popular camera on any smartphone, but it does make a huge difference for macro shots. It is still binned down to 12.5-megapixels, but that allows for about 4x more details versus the Galaxy S24 Ultra.
