Michael Cooper and Jason Bell will team up in a Racers Edge Motorsports-run Aston Martin Vantage GT3 Evo for the upcoming GT World Challenge America powered by AWS season.

The Florida-based team announced late last year a new partnership with the British manufacturer, after fielding Acura NSX GT3 machinery in the SRO America-run series for multiple seasons.

Cooper and Bell, who will compete in the Pro-Am class, most recently were part of Flying Lizard Motorsports’ efforts, which saw Bell contest the full GT America powered by AWS season last year after stepping up from GT4 competition.

In addition to the GT World Challenge races, Bell will also make a cameo appearance in GT America this year at the Long Beach round, also with the Jon Mirachi-led operation.

“My journey with Racers Edge began back in 2017, where I won my first race at VIR with this incredible team,” Bell said. “After seven successful years in GT4, including two championships while driving an Aston Martin, it’s time to take the next step and compete in the big show.

“I had the opportunity to get behind the wheel of the Aston Martin Vantage GT3 in GT America in 2024, which was an invaluable learning experience. I’ve had the chance to understand the car, and now, as a team, we’re fired up and ready to compete at the highest level.”

Cooper added: “I’m really excited to get back into GT World Challenge America with Jason Bell and Racers Edge Motorsports.

“In 2023 when Jason and I ran as a partial season pairing in GT4 America, we were super competitive [winning at Circuit of The Americas]. Jason made the jump to GT3 last year, got his feet wet, and now we are diving head-first into the big races in SRO America.

“Racers Edge Motorsports runs a first-class organization. Having competed against the team on many occasions in both GT3 and GT4, I’m very much looking forward to being in their paddock this year.”
