PlayStation has revealed new AI-assisted tech that will allow the console to predict what your next button press will be.

Sony recently filed a new patent for technology that sees AI predict what a player’s next move will be, allowing games to react faster to commands.

Reported by tech4gamers, the system could use cameras to monitor how an individual plays a game before using that information to predict future moves. Rather than playing a game for you though, the tech would reduce the time it takes for games to react to controller inputs.

“One of the technical challenges facing computer game system engineers and players alike is the need for effective input actions that are not mistimed or missed completely by the game system since that can adversely affect gameplay,” explained Sony.
