Reader’s Report
Just to give you an update on the former Novotel BKK. Arrived today Feb 5th for another one night stay before an early flight tomorrow. Took some photos and had a long talk with the resident manager Cedric Besler.

I have a business agreement (until the end of march) with the hotel and as an Accor platinum member they have extended my benefits until 31/03. Had an email exchange with the hotel a few days before my arrival. The email adresses had already moved to Hyatt
Was told in the email that the carousel meet and greet was no longer available. Funny that this coincides with the reflag date so not sure if the reason stated is valid or not :

So I went to the relevant pick up point and several minibuses were there (3 or 4) all repainted with the Hyatt logo, except for one which still had a sticker on the rear window stating « shuttle between terminal and Novotel is free of charge »

Arriving at the hotel, there was no sign up on the roof replacing the old (big) Novotel sign. Was told by the manager that the Hyatt one is on its way.
There is a big Hyatt sign at the entrance to the drive way though :

In front of the entrance, work was in progress and I was greeted by staff in Hyatt attire :

At check in (in the lounge because my benefits are extended :

In my room (Junior suite as per my Accor perks), notices on Hyatt paperwork and rebranded amenities :

All signage (part from the rear window of one of the minibuses) was Hyatt. The manager said that the rebrand went really smoothly and that no staff members have lost their positions in the reflagging process.
He seemed happy and excited at the new prospects with Hyatt and said that loyaltylobby readers who have Accor platinum or diamond status and who have already stayed at the hotel are welcome to contact him at the address cedric.besler@hyatt.com.
He would examine each request on a case by case basis (presumably based on stay history) and be able to make offers. He definitely is open to, and wants to, see former clients come back to the hotel.
Conclusion
The reader who filed this report is an Accor ALL Diamond member and has stayed at this hotel several times a year.
I am glad that the hotel is willing to work with existing Accor ALL Platinum & Diamond guests during this reflagging process to ensure a smooth transition.
So, readers with ALL Platinum and Diamond status who have upcoming stays at this property should contact the resident manager in advance at cedric.besler@hyatt.com.
