Marking its separation from troubled Austrian motorcycle maker KTM, Art of Mobility has now gained full ownership of the MV Agusta Group. Under ownership of the Sardarov family, Art of Mobility aims to safeguard its network of MV Agusta suppliers and dealers.
The move will shield MV Agusta’s operations from any potential financial disruptions, keeping it from being affected by KTM’s restructuring process. In 2024, the company sold 4,000 motorcycles, achieving an annual growth rate of 116 % compared to 2023.
In 2022, KTM, under Pierer Mobility, bought into MV Agusta in 2022. This was increased to a majority stake in 2024 with a 50.1 % stake in MV Agusta, leaving 49.9 % in the hands of the Sardarov family.
However, in November 2024, KTM initiated a legal restructuring proceeding with self-administration. The move was to avoid bankruptcy and install a credible restructuring plan to address current debt and the future continuation of the company.
