Last Chance to Grab PS Plus January 2025 Monthly Games

Last month, Sony brought a trio of games to its online subscription service PlayStation Plus as part of its free monthly games perk. Available for all subscription tiers, members are able to grab Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered, and The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe at no additional cost. Now that it is February, these games will be taken off the service to bring in another trio of games.

PS Plus January 2025 monthly games leave service today

Yes, January 2025’s PS Plus monthly games are leaving the service today, February 3, 2025. Although these games weren’t the most popular with subscribers, at least one of them is absolutely worth playing. The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe is a critically acclaimed narrative-driven “walking sim” with tons of endings to enjoy. On the review aggregate website Metacritic, it currently holds an average score of 90 for the PC version.

The criticism of last month’s PS Plus monthly games is mostly fueled by Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. The action game, which launched early last year, marked the return of beloved Batman: Arkham studio Rocksteady. Unfortunately for the studio, the game was met with a lot of criticism among both the community and critics. Although it was staged as a live-service game, WB Games is ending support with its latest content update which added Deathstroke to the game’s playable roster.

Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered is one of the more solid entries from EA Games’ racing series. On Metacritic, it holds a score of 75 based on 36 critic reviews of the PS4 version. While that isn’t the most impressive score, the critiques were less about the quality of the 2010 game and more on whether a remaster was needed in the first place.

Available tomorrow, PS Plus subscribers can grab the free monthly games for February 2025. These include Payday 3, High on Life, and Pac-Man World Re-Pac.
