Is this Constructive Dismissal? [closed]
I was a manager within my organisation but made the decision to relocate to the other end of the country. However I saw a cost saving opportunity for the organisation to make part of my role remote and worked with my line manager on creating a case. I was advised by my line manager that I needed to hand in my notice before they could/would look at the proposal. I handed in my notice which was a 3 month notice period. I was advised that due to the speed and imminence of the relocation they would not require me to work my notice period of 3 months and I could go. ( I was not offered lieu of this notice period as it was deemed a favour to me). My manager then was allowed to put forward the proposal which was accepted but on a casual claim basis literally a few days before the move. I was advised this would be reviewed as a viable option for a remote role nearer the end of term. I missed out on the benefits of the college holidays but was told before they broke that it would be offered to me on an extended casual contract as the college is going through a merger. Just before Christmas I started to apply for permanent positions with other organisations and was successful subject to pre employment checks, so I decided to wait till New Year to let them know I had a job offer. When the checks had completed and I knew my start date I let my line manager know and plans were put in place for me to leave. My casual role has now been advertised but as a permanent position not casual as I was offered. The only difference in this role is that support at college events could be required. Is this considered constructive dismissal?
