IHG always takes its time at the turn of the year to wrap up the numbers, process the rollover nights, and update the member tiers, and this process has now been completed for 2025.
IHG has sent welcome emails to those whose tiers have been renewed or downgraded. You should also see the possible rollover nights from 2024 posted to your account now.
You can access IHG here.

Rollover Nights:
There is always confusion when it comes to the rollover nights and what rolls over and what doesn’t:
IHG Rollover Night Confusion In 2025
The maximum number of Rollover Nights per IHG One Rewards Tier:
- Gold = 19
- Platinum = 29
- Diamond = 70
You can only rollover nights consumed in any given year that exceeds your status.
Gold members can roll over a maximum of 19 nights because they would be Platinum now if they had earned 40 nights in 2024.
Similarly, Platinum members can roll over a maximum of 29, and Diamond members 70, which would requalify you for another year of Diamond through December 31, 2026, without setting foot at IHG-affiliated property in 2025 (but what are those benefits worth if you don’t use them).
When you look at the total nights for 2024, you first must deduct any possible rollover nights from 2023. You then have the number of nights consumed in 2024 that can be rolled over to 2025.
If you purchased Ambassador status in 2024, only nights consumed over 40 and less than 70 are eligible for the rollover.
Conclusion
So, this year, it took IHG three weeks to firm up the numbers, roll over the nights, and send the emails.
I didn’t have a single rollover night from 2024 to 2025, as I ended up the year exactly at 70 nights, of which 15 were bonus elite qualifying nights from a promo.
IHG has also processed Royal Ambassador renewals, upgrades, and downgrades (read more here and here).
I wish that IHG could offer lifetime status to members who have been part of the program for an extensive period, like Hilton, Hyatt, and Marriott all do.
