BERLIN – At the start of 2025, the German Hotel Association (IHA) welcomes a new preferred partner as a member – GIATA! Based in Berlin, GIATA GmbH is a world-leading provider of travel technology and data-based solutions for the hotel industry.

The German Hotel Association (IHA) is the industry association for the hotel sector in Germany. Its members include around 1,500 hotels from all categories of individual, chain and cooperative hotels. The IHA represents the interests of the hotel industry in Germany and Europe vis-à-vis politicians and the public, offering numerous hotel-specific services. The abbreviation “IHA” stands for the former German section of the International Hotel Association.

IATA was founded in 1996 and is a travel technology company specialising in tourism and based in Berlin. The company’s digital products, focusing on non-bookable content, target over 20,000 clients and partners across more than 80 countries, including hotels, hotel chains, online travel agencies, tour operators, travel agency co-operations and global travel distribution systems.
