A member of our Frequent Miler Insiders group reported that they found an offer on some of their cards good for $75 back on a Marriott Homes & Villas booking of $250 or more. While you have to be conscious of shopping prices, that could make for a nice deal if you need a vacation rental and Marriott has the right one for you.

• A new offer is out on some cards providing $75 back on $250 or more at Marriott Homes & Villas. The reader who shared this offer reported finding it on their Chase Sapphire Reserve card, though it is possible that you’ll find it on other cards (you must find and sync up the offer to use it).

Vacation rental properties are often cross-listed on different platforms like Airbnb, Vrbo, and Marriott Homes & Villas. We’ve found in the past that Marriott Homes & Villas prices are often a bit inflated, but that’s not always true. Furthermore, you do earn both Marriott Bonvoy points and elite night credit for Homes & Villas bookings, which makes them more attractive for some.

The savings here could be great on a short / cheap booking. Note that Marriott Homes & Villas ordinarily charges 50% up front and 50% later, so you’ll want to be sure that half of your booking charge meets the spending threshold in order to trigger the offer unless it says “in one or more purchases). We didn’t have the offer on any cards in my household and the reader who shared the offer screen shot above did not provide full details of the terms.
