Genshin Impact Minini Line Friends Are Cute and Recognizable

When there are certain adaptations of existing characters, there may be a concern that they aren’t true to the source material. The Genshin Impact minini Line Friends merchandise line features playable characters in diminutive new forms and often more casual attire. After getting some of the items from the Line Friends pop-up store event in New York, I was delighted to see how durable, adorable, familiar, and true to each character’s aesthetic each item is. People who end up getting them during the event, which runs until February 2, 2025, will see they look exactly as they do on the site. The items range from practical to decorative, which is appreciated. One example of this is the Genshin minini figurine. These are the $21.95 figures of Inazuma characters on a wide, flat base. Each one is five centimeters tall. The bottom has a black, rubber grip on it, to keep it in place. So they’re cute representatives of potentially someone’s favorite character, but they’re small enough to fit in plenty of spaces. You could have one on a work desk, for example, since it isn’t a foot tall hulk. But what I found them to me best for is keeping an eye on certain pieces of jewelry. I don’t like to wear one ring when I change clothes or wash up, because the awkward shape catches on things. The base here is the perfect size to store a small piece of jewelry like a ring or earrings. So I have a Kokomi on my nightstand and an Ayato on my bathroom sink to keep things safe. Photos by Siliconera I would also consider the Genshin minini figurine keyrings rather practical. Those are the $19.95 models that basically take a figure in the style of the one on a stand you could use as a decoration and place it on a keychain. Each one has a solid metal, circular ring in the center, which you can use for your keys to ensure they won’t fall off of it. There is also a metal clip at the top for perhaps clasping onto a bag as a decoration. On the sides are plastic accessories that say the character’s name and show their Vision. I loved the figure part of this, as well as the durable center keychain, and feel like it’d be a good bag or backpack marker. (You know, as long as someone wouldn’t steal it, as the clip is easy to undo.) However, I’m not as big of a fan of the charms on the side. The plastic accessories feel flimsy compared to the figure and rest of the keychain, and when I actually attempted to use the Paimon one for keys, found the name tag would get caught taking it in and out of the purse.  Photos by Siliconera In a way, I think I prefer the purely decorative items in this Genshin Impact Line Friends merchandise collection a little more. Because like the figurine on a stand, they really capture the character and provide a very notable accent piece. I can’t imagine actually using the Genshin minini plush keyrings, which are $15.95 each. The color of the hair for both the Ayaka and Yoimiya ones is far too light. Coupled with the fair skin tone, I feel like they’d be a magnet for dirt and lint if you tried to actually use them for keys or as a decoration on a bag. They’re great if you hang them on the edge of a shelf or a pinboard! I think they’d be fun on a cubicle wall too. But it’s really something you hang up and appreciate, rather than put to work in your daily life. Photos by Siliconera Which brings me to my favorite part of this Genshin Impact Line Friends collection: the Genshin minini plush doll. These are one of the more expensive items in the line, coming in at $25.95 each. These two are so recognizable, cute, and well-made. The detail on them is extraordinary. In the case of Raiden Shogun, elements of her costume are retained, as well as her hairpin and stoic expression. She also has incredibly long hair, which is rendered perfectly and even has highlights running through the back and braid. Kazuha is also an absolute treasure, again because of the attention to detail in his outfit and hairdo. His overlapping bangs are captured in a fun way that involves an extra piece of material, which is a nice touch. So is the extra accent on the side, and his small ponytail at the back. His outfit is also perfectly captured in the minini style, which is a feat considering the tiny and stylized interpretation. There’s something about the Genshin Impact minini Line Friends merchandise that feels so friendly. Each character is absolutely adorable. They’re very cute and memorable. At the same time, while there’s completely recognizable, I almost feel like they might have more universal appeal in these forms. Like not only people who are familiar with the HoYoVerse game would want them, but people who like Line Friends or cute things in general too. Genshin Impact is available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, PC, and mobile devices, and the Genshin minini Pop-Up merchandise will be at the Line Friends store in New York City, New York between January 22, 2025 and February 2, 2025.  The post
