Today, Prime Video treated fans of The Wheel of Time to an exciting glimpse of the upcoming third season by releasing ten first-look images as part of the platform’s popular #WOTWednesdays. The highly anticipated season will debut globally on March 13, 2025, continuing the epic fantasy journey that has captivated audiences worldwide.
Co-produced by Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios, the series is based on Robert Jordan’s best-selling fantasy book series. The show follows Rand al’Thor, a humble farm boy destined to become The Dragon Reborn, a pivotal figure who holds the fate of the world in his hands.
Season 3: Darkness Rises and Allies Fracture
Season 3 picks up after Rand’s climactic defeat of Ishamael, one of the Forsaken, at the end of Season 2. As Rand reunites with his allies in Falme and is declared The Dragon Reborn, the stakes rise dramatically. The White Tower faces internal divisions, the Black Ajah are on the loose, and the remaining Forsaken pursue Rand relentlessly.
One of the central storylines this season will explore Rand’s relationship with Lanfear, whose influence forces him to grapple with the choice between Light and Dark. Meanwhile, his growing power begins to alienate those closest to him, including Moiraine and Egwene. Once mentor and student, these two powerful women must now join forces to prevent Rand from succumbing to darkness, no matter the cost.
