FANTASTIC FOUR Actor Ebon Moss-Bachrach Is in the Two-Time Marvel Club as He's Appeared in the MCU Before
Actor Ebon Moss-Bachrach of The Bear fame is about to join the ranks of Marvel stars as he will play Ben Grimm/Thing in the upcoming reboot The Fantastic Four: First Steps. But this is not his first Marvel role, and because the Marvel Netflix shows, including The Punisher are now MCU canon, it means he is joining the two-time MCU club, playing two characters across the interwoven universe. Moss-Bachrach played the character David “Micro” Lieberman in the Netflix series The Punisher, opposite Jon Bernthal's Frank Castle. Micro was an ally and tech resource for the vigilante, who helped Frank out in season one. While he didn’t get a chance to return to the role, he made his mark in a 12-episode arc. The actor joins the likes of actors that include Josh Brolin, Linda Cardellini, and Michelle Yeoh, among others, who have pulled double duty across Marvel film and TV, and it looks like this second role will be around for the long haul, as the next few phases of the MCU are being set up to include the Fantastic Four team. The Punisher is also returning in the upcoming series Daredevil: Born Again, which is bringing back several characters from the Netflix Marvel shows. While it’s unlikely that Moss-Bachrach’s Micro would be enlisted to return, it’s fun to imagine his character is out there in the MCU world, fighting for justice alongside all the other characters that include Ben Grimm.
