Following David Lynch‘s death, fans have been remembering the legendary director through his favourite bands and songs.
His death was announced by his family yesterday (January 16) and came after the Twin Peaks creator was reportedly “forced to relocate from his house” due to the Los Angeles wildfires. He was aged 78.
Lynch’s favourite artists included Otis Redding, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, Duran Duran, Lissie, Pixies and David Bowie.
Taking to social media many fans shared his favourite songs including Redding’s ‘I’ve Been Loving You Too Long’ which became an integral part of Twin Peaks and Julee Cruise‘s ‘Falling’ which served as the show’s theme song. Others shared Peter Ivers’ ‘In Heaven (Lady In The Radiator Song’) which featured in his 1977 film Eraserhead and Rammstein‘s self-titled song in his 1997 movie Lost Highway.
