Elliot Page and Himesh Patel are setting sail for Christopher Nolan's Odyssey
Bill Irwin and Samantha Morton are also joining the epic cast.
Christopher Nolan's Odyssey is shaping up to be as much a tour of modern Hollywood as it is Ancient Greece. Elliot Page, Himesh Patel, Bill Irwin, and Samantha Morton have officially been recruited to join Nolan on his epic adventure, which is set to start filming on Siciliy's Favignana (a.k.a. "Goat Island"), a real-life location Odysseus supposedly visited, in roughly two months. The casting news comes from The Hollywood Reporter.
There aren't any details on which gods or mortals each actor will be playing as of this writing, but Odysseus visits a lot of people on his journey so the possibilities are vaguely endless. (For this writer's money, Patel would make a really great Poseidon.) Whoever they are, they'll be voyaging with previously announced cast mates Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Zendaya, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong’o, Anne Hathaway, Charlize Theron, Jon Bernthal, John Leguizamo, and Benny Safdie.
Nolan likes to revisit his rolodex, and this cast is no different. Page notably played grad student Ariadne in Inception (a name that's bound to come up again in this film), while Patel had a role in Tenet. Irwin voiced the beloved TARS robot in Interstellar, while Morton is joining the crew for the first time.
The Odyssey will also serve as the debut for some sort of "brand new IMAX technology," which Nolan is planning to haul to the U.K. and Morocco (at least!) after he's finished with the Sicilian portion of the shoot. The film is currently slated to premiere on July 17, 2026.
