He is said to have admitted to his breaches of anti-doping rules at a hearing with the Darts Regulatory Authority. Taylor was initially handed a two-year suspension for a first offence but this has been reduced to a month. He proved that the substance wasn’t performance enhancing and taken away from the Players Championship. This saw the punishment reduced to three months, and then one after he agreed to take a UKAD-approved three-month Substance of Abuse treatment programme. “In the circumstances, the Committee determined that Mr Taylor will be subject to a one-month ban,” said the DRA. “This is conditional on his completion of an appropriate UKAD approved treatment program. “Should Mr Taylor not complete this course within the next four months, then the ban shall be extended by an additional two months. “Mr Taylor should also be liable for the costs of these proceedings.” Taylor could face Stephen Bunting at the World Masters this weekGetty Taylor can resume his career this week at the 2025 Winmau World Masters in Milton Keynes. The PDC have confirmed that he has been seeded in the preliminary sound group stage of the tournament. He is one of 129 players who will compete for eight places within the main draw on Wednesday. Stephen Bunting is the reigning champion and already through to the first round as he is one of the top 24 players in the PDC Order of Merit.
