brain.space Secures $11M to Pioneer Generative AI Mental Modeling

What You Should Know:

brain.space, the innovator behind the first-ever Brain-Data-as-a-Service Ecosystem for Generative AI Mental Modeling secures $11M in Series A funding round led by Toyota Ventures.

– The round also included with strong participation from Mangrove Capital Partners, The Group Ventures  and a $3.5M non-dilutive grant from the Israel Innovation Authority, will propel the company’s mission to transform how we understand and predict human behavior.

Brain-Data-as-a-Service System

brain.space has pioneered the Brain-Data-as-a-Service System, featuring the non-invasive Brain Sensei Headset. This user-friendly headset, requiring only a 3-minute setup and minimal training, employs 115 dry EEG (electroencephalogram) sensors and integrates with other physiological sensors such as eye trackers, ECG (electrocardiography), and GSR (galvanic skin response). This comprehensive data collection provides an in-depth understanding of an individual’s mental and cognitive states.

At the core of brain.space’s technology is its patented Brain GPS® technology. This system maps brain signals to key functional areas and applies Machine Learning Modeling to denoise, standardize, and automatically label collected Brain Data. This data is then stored and made accessible on the world’s most extensive Brain Cloud.

To facilitate and scale this process, brain.space operates a global network of Data Collection Centers. This network ensures diverse sample collection, leading to the training of more accurate models and providing a standardized Brain Data source for collaborative research. brain.space collaborates with partners in consumer, health, defense, and aerospace industries, assisting in the design phase of research and development to understand end-user mental states and improve real-time product performance.

Large Mental Models Expansion

The Series A funds will be used to further develop brain.space’s Large Mental Models (LMMs), which integrate human intelligence with machine learning by utilizing standardized Brain Data. These LMMs aim to quantify cognitive and emotional states, enabling the creation of tailored solutions that infuse the human element into digital systems across various industries.

Google Equity-Free Grant

The company has also forged a strong partnership with Google. In May 2024, brain.space received an equity-free grant from the Google AI Startups Fund, which supports promising AI startups that have demonstrated strong AI innovation. Furthermore, in January 2025, brain.space successfully completed the Google AI Startups Lab program, receiving equity-free capital, mentorship, and resources from Google’s $4M AI Fund.

“We are building the largest labeled and standardized Brain Database in the world – with great variety and precision – to design exclusive Mental Modeling that gains actionable, data-based insights about humans’ behavior and mental states – such as cognitive load, fatigue, stress, engagement, and focus,” said Yair Levy, Co-founder & CEO of brain.space. “The future of smart, adaptive technology isn’t just about automation. It’s about understanding each individual’s mental state. brain.space is innovating impactful Deep Tech neurotechnology to shape a future in which any human-centric digital system involving an end user will employ Mental Models to create a treatment, a product – an experience – that is specifically tailored to them, and in real time.”
