Legal News
- Safety technology vendor Canopy was granted a preliminary injunction against Commure. “Evidence indicates Commure used Canopy’s confidential information, gained through the reseller relationship, to improperly build and market its copycat Strongline Pro platform,” Canopy said in a statement.
- Epic is facing a data-blocking lawsuit from CureIS Healthcare, a managed care data reconciliation vendor that alleges anti-competitive behavior and “efforts to monopolize the healthcare IT market.” The lawsuit cites Epic’s similar pending lawsuit from Particle Health regarding payer’s ability to access records in Epic systems.
Studies
- A survey from Innovaccer and NAACOS found 64% of healthcare organizations expect higher revenue from value-based care in 2025. Three in 10 organizations report that at least 25% of their revenue is tied to VBC contracts.
- More than half of providers reported a high degree of success using AI for clinical documentation, according to a paper published in JAMIA. That said, immaturity of AI tools stands as the biggest barrier to adoption.
- Roughly 30% of patient collections are tied up in open payment plans, according to a PayZen report. Of these payment plans, 58% must be paid within 24 months, and 28% must be paid within a year.
- A Netskope report found nearly 70% of generative AI users in healthcare use and send sensitive data to their personal accounts at work.
- Over the last two years, drug expense per adjusted patient day increased 8.4% and medical supply expense per adjusted patient day rose 6.7%, according to the latest report from Strata Decision Technology.

- Creyos is partnering with Redox to embed its cognitive and behavioral health assessments in more than 90 EHR systems.
