Tom Blomqvist will make his European Le Mans Series debut as part of CLX Motorsport’s LMP2 lineup, the team has announced.
The British racer, fresh off an overall podium finish in the Rolex 24 at Daytona, will share the No. 37 Oreca 07 Gibson with the previously confirmed Alex Malykhin, with Harry King completing the lineup.
Although Blomqvist has gained LMP2 experience through campaigns in both the FIA World Endurance Championship and Asian Le Mans Series with the likes of JOTA Sport and United Autosports, it will mark the first time he embarks on an ELMS campaign.
He will combine his duties with a full season Acura Meyer Shank GTP program in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.
King, meanwhile, is also set for his series debut. The 24-year-old is currently a co-driver for Malykhin in Asian LMS, picking up a podium finish at the season opener in Malaysia.
The European Le Mans Series opener kicks off with the 4 Hours of Barcelona on April 6.
