be great to get other peoples input , take on this?

I was recently asked and invited to interview for a post. I had no intention of applying. The company was aware of my management experience and holding MCMI manager status. At the interview, they asked generic open-ended questions. I worked in employment and skills and supported people to gain jobs. I gave examples using star format etc. No surprises on the day. They interviewed three and took on one. So I did not get the job. They gave me feedback like oh you could have used the Star ® more, and Your management experience did not come out ( there was no direct question). So here’s the real KICKER. They are re-advertising the post for another part-time worker. They suspended the decision at 4 pm saying HR had gone home but had a meeting the next day, which I am not meant to know about. The decision came out at 2 pm the next day. My funding is complicated and tied to another service. I feel I have been stitched up and insulted in the process. it is unclear if I will be re-invited to apply. I was simply told you are known to us now . What do you think?
