AMC To Hike Its A-List Member Prices

AMC Theatres is raising the prices of its movie subscription membership program – Stubs A-List.

From May 7th, the monthly A-list membership will jump from $24.95 to $27.99 in New York and California. Depending on the state, prices elsewhere will range from $19.99 to $25.99 per month.

The one upside? The program will now allow four movie visits a week, up from the current limit of three online reservations.

The program is aimed at avid moviegoers and allows members to see Hollywood films in all premium formats, including IMAX and Dolby Cinema.

Along with the price change, the age limit is also being dropped to 13 years and older. This is being done in the hope of encouraging more family visits to the local multiplex.

Also being launched is AMC Stubs A-List Classic. Costing $14.95 per month, this more affordable plan allows guests to view one movie every week at qualifying AMC theaters.

The A-List membership comes with ongoing benefits like free online reservations, priority lane access, and free upgrades to popcorn and fountain drinks.
