Watch Stevie Wonder, Janelle Monae, Cynthia Erivo, Herbie Hancock & more pay tribute to Quincy Jones at the Grammys
Will Smith, Lainey Wilson and Jacob Collier also were on hand to pay tribute to Q.
The 2025 Grammys included an all-star tribute to Quincy Jones, who died in November. Will Smith hosted it, and he rattled off some of Jones’ many accomplishments before turning it over to the music, with Cynthia Erivo singing “Fly Me to the Moon” accompanied by Herbie Hancock before the stage opened up to reveal a big band.
After that, Lainey Wilson and Jacob Collier came out to perform “Let the Good Times Roll,” then it was Stevie Wonder and Hancock at one piano for jazz standard “Bluesette,’ followed by a bit of “We Are the World” which Quincy produced.
Will Smith came back out to add an anecdote about Quincy on the set of Fresh Prince of Bel Air before introducing Janelle Monae who brought the house down covering Michael Jackson’s “Don’t Stop Till You Get Enough” in total MJ style and in a “I Heart QJ” shirt.
