Watch Billie Eilish pay tribute to Altadena with Grammys performance
The song is up for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Pop Solo Performance.
The 2025 Grammy Awards Ceremony kicked off with Dawes covering Randy Newman’s “I Love L.A.” St. Vincent, Brittany Howard, Sheryl Crow, John Legend, Brad Paisley; some music-themed comedy from Trevor Noah; and then a performance of Billie Eilish, Finneas, and their band doing “Birds of a Feather,” which is up for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Pop Solo Performance. The album it’s from, Hit Me Hard and Soft, is also up for Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album. Watch the performance below.
Billie & co. performed in front of a backdrop of the San Gabriel Mountains and Eaton Canyon in Altadena, and it was intended as a tribute to the Altadena community. They also projected images of Billie and Finneas from their childhood trips to the canyon with their family.
